Network Systems Administrator

Educational Requirements- Completion of College or CEGEP program
- Oversee the access and utilization of computer networks
- Install and configure web server hardware and software
- Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks
- Monitor and assess the performance of computer systems and networks
- Evaluate and implement computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems
- Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to network users
- Establish and enforce data, software, and hardware security protocols
- Conduct routine network startups and shutdowns while maintaining control records
- Execute data backup and disaster recovery operations
- Set up local area networks and establish Internet connections
- Utilize network traffic and security monitoring tools to enhance server performance
