Network Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at Islington Chrysler Plymouth (1963) Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our computer networks and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Network Administration: Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
- User Support: Provide problem-solving services to network users, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Network Maintenance: Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, and maintain control records to ensure network integrity.
- Backup and Recovery: Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
- Team Leadership: Supervise technical staff and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of network projects.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in network administration and technical support.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
