About the Role:

The Business Development Partner is a key position at Sun Life Financial, responsible for onboarding, developing, and coaching a team of advisors to achieve financial and strategic objectives. This role requires strong product knowledge, sales management, and mentoring skills to drive growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead advisors through comprehensive onboarding and training programs to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  2. Work closely with advisors to set and achieve sales growth, productivity, and client engagement targets.
  3. Oversee compliance operations at the financial centre level, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and Sun Life obligations.
  4. Recruit, select, train, and onboard new advisors, and provide ongoing support to ensure their success.
  5. Escalate client complaints and conduct investigations as needed.
  6. Monitor operational effectiveness and ensure adherence to business plans, including data and metrics analysis.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of insurance and wealth products.
  2. Valid Life Insurance Agent's license in the province where the financial centre is located.
  3. Ability to complete the Branch Manager's Course Examination and register as a mutual fund branch manager with the appropriate provincial securities commission.
  4. Good standing with applicable regulators.
  5. Professional financial services designation an asset.
  6. Proficient in various technologies, including Sun Vision Financial Analyzer.
