Job Title: Assisted Living Worker

We are seeking a qualified Assisted Living Worker to join our team at Joseph Creek Village in Cranbrook, BC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide personal care services to residents, respond to scheduled and unscheduled requests, participate in social and recreational programs, and perform housekeeping and dietary duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and hygiene-related duties.
  • Respond to scheduled and unscheduled requests from residents for assistance.
  • Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, and special events.
  • Perform housekeeping, laundry, and dietary duties.
  • Assist with dining room preparation and meal service.
  • Interact with residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Complete required documentation.
  • Act as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Follow security and infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must be physically capable to perform all required tasks.
  • Current registration and good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry.
  • As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
  • Ensures that Golden Life Management policies and procedures are practiced.
  • Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
  • Able to read and write English.
  • Must have First Aid.
  • Has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
  • Must have ability to be self-motivated for this position.
  • Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
  • Negative TB Skin Test.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
