About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Adoptions, Guardianship and Permanency Planning Worker. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children, youth, and families to provide support and guidance in achieving permanency and stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare children for adoption by creating comprehensive reports on their birth, family, and social history.
  • Assess adoptive families and develop care plans that incorporate input from both the child and their caregivers.
  • Work closely with caregivers and children and youth in care to provide guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including Child and Youth Mental Health, Children and Youth with Special Needs, and Child Protection, to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work or Child and Youth Care, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year of related work experience, preferably in child and family services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.
