We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Education Assistant to join our team at School District #5 (Southeast Kootenay). As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist speech-language pathologists in developing and implementing individualized education plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide support to students in the classroom, including one-on-one instruction and small group work.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to ensure that students receive comprehensive support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and caregivers to ensure that students receive consistent support at home.
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Experience working with students with speech and language disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment.
