Job Description

At Golden Life Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assisted Living Worker to join our team at Joseph Creek Village. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care Services: Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and hygiene-related duties as established in the individualized personal service plan.
  • Respond to Resident Requests: Respond to scheduled and unscheduled requests from residents for assistance, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Participate in Social and Recreational Programs: Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, special events, and opportunities for socialization, promoting a sense of community and well-being among residents.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry Duties: Perform housekeeping, laundry, and dietary duties tasks, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment for residents.
  • Dining Room Preparation and Meal Service: Assist with dining room preparation and meal service, ensuring residents receive nutritious and appealing meals.
  • Interact with Residents, Guests, and Staff: Interact with residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and respectful manner, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete required documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and services.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Act as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences and contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Security and Infection Control: Follow security and infection control policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
Requirements:
  • Physical Capability: Must be physically capable of performing all required tasks as outlined in the job description.
  • Medical Requirements: As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
  • Golden Life Management Policies and Procedures: Ensures that Golden Life Management policies and procedures are practiced.
  • Accountability: Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
  • Cooperation, Attitude, Resident Focus, Teamwork, Problem-Solving Skills: Based on individual; cooperation, attitude, resident focus, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and application of the Social Model Care will impact a person's candidacy.
  • Language and Communication: Able to read and write English.
  • First Aid and Food Safety: Must have First Aid and has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
  • Self-Motivation and Vulnerable Sector-Criminal Record Check: Must have ability to be self-motivated for this position and successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations: Negative TB Skin Test; and, proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
Compensation and Benefits:

The $29.83 per hour start rate for this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.
