We are seeking an experienced Indigenous Housing Liaison to lead our efforts in marketing HRIC housing programs to new and existing landlords and property managers. The successful candidate will identify permanent housing units in the rental market, develop partnerships with landlords, and work closely with Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound Navigators and other HRIC staff to ensure participants can access and sustain housing.
The ideal candidate will have a college diploma in Social Services, Indigenous Studies, or a combination of relevant education and experience. They will possess 3 years of experience within the housing sector, with a strong understanding of the barriers to accessing and maintaining housing from an Indigenous perspective.
The successful candidate will also have demonstrated ability to coordinate landlord outreach efforts, develop and implement workshops, groups, and surveys, and possess strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history. They will have excellent communication, listening, and interview skills, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the marketing of HRIC housing programs to new and existing landlords and property managers
- Identify permanent housing units in the rental market
- Develop partnerships with landlords and work closely with Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound Navigators and other HRIC staff
- Coordinate landlord outreach efforts and develop and implement workshops, groups, and surveys
- Provide support to program participants and act as a resource to the community
Requirements:
- College diploma in Social Services, Indigenous Studies, or a combination of relevant education and experience
- 3 years of experience within the housing sector
- Strong understanding of the barriers to accessing and maintaining housing from an Indigenous perspective
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate landlord outreach efforts and develop and implement workshops, groups, and surveys
- Strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history
- Excellent communication, listening, and interview skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
