Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Centre d'hébergement Champlain. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our residents by assessing their needs, developing personalized care plans, and providing education and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments to determine the dietary requirements of residents.
  • Develop and implement individualized meal plans that meet specific health conditions and preferences.
  • Provide counseling and education to residents, families, and staff on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for residents.
  • Monitor the nutritional status of residents and make adjustments to care plans as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an accredited institution.
  • Registered with the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in long-term care facilities (CHSLD) with elderly clients.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric nutrition.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
