Job Title: Plumber Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Apprentice to join our team at Rodwell Mechanical & Plumbing Corporation. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will assist experienced plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Help locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Participate in cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Assist in joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Help schedule personnel, tools, and equipment.
  • Participate in testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Assist in determining piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Help supervise other workers.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification.
  • Plumber Trade Certification.
  • Working at heights training.
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Level two apprenticeship training.
  • Level three apprenticeship training.
  • Level four apprenticeship training.
  • Level five apprenticeship training.
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
  • Bondable.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Own vehicle.
  • Vehicle supplied by employer.
  • Valid driver's licence.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and various locations. You will be required to work under pressure and may be required to work overtime.
