Job Title: Plumber Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Apprentice to join our team at Rodwell Mechanical & Plumbing Corporation. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply networks, waste and drainage systems, and pipe fittings. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all plumbing work is completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced plumbers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Supervise other workers
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Level two apprenticeship training
  • Level three apprenticeship training
  • Level four apprenticeship training
  • Level five apprenticeship training
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
