Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise staff to ensure efficient operation of the food service area.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Work Environment:

Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a high level of energy and enthusiasm. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be working in a urban area with a team of 3-4 people, including food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen helpers.
