Join Our Team as a Fleet Supervisor

At All Weather Windows, we are seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Fleet Supervisor within our shipping division. This position is essential for overseeing our fleet personnel and ensuring the efficient dispatch of our fleet resources for customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the fleet and dispatch operations.
  • Oversee regular maintenance of trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Efficiently organize and dispatch drivers and fleet equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Ensure all fleet licenses and permits are current and properly maintained.
  • Provide training for drivers on safety requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct investigations into any collisions that occur.
  • Review vendor invoices and manage maintenance service agreements.
  • Act as the primary contact for urgent fleet issues requiring immediate resolution.
  • Prepare and submit IFTA reports to the head office.
  • Develop and implement fleet process standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Monitor fleet expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track performance indicators and implement improvements.
  • Manage fuel supply and consumption effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and service agreements.
  • Provide accurate fleet data for reporting purposes.
  • Standardize processes and best practices across all locations.
  • Collaborate with procurement on fleet acquisition and disposal.
  • Address and resolve driver complaints promptly.
  • Organize and lead driver meetings.
  • Investigate accident scenes and secure evidence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and scheduling.
  • Dispatch experience is an advantage.
  • Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance practices is beneficial.
  • Possession of a Class 1 Driver's License is a plus.
  • Completion of PDIC training.
  • Familiarity with logbook regulations and vehicle inspection protocols.
  • LCV certification is an asset.
  • Experience with load securement techniques.
  • Knowledge of new vehicle setup and disposal processes.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Willingness to provide a satisfactory driver's abstract.
