Nurse - Addiction Treatment Specialist

At Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres, we are seeking a compassionate and caring Clinical Nurse to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in the development and delivery of harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities for patients with opiate dependency.
About the Position:The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, thrive in a team environment, and be able to interact with diverse and cultural clients. You will work closely with members of an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate treatment plans to support patients.
Responsibilities:- Operate professionally, ethically, and with integrity within the guidelines and standards of the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Dispense and administer medications as delegated by a licensed Physician.
- Collaborate with the team to plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Perform ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening supervision, and testing.
- Administer injections and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate with Physicians regarding patient needs and changes in status.
- Provide comprehensive program information to current and prospective patients.
- Schedule, enter information, and manage data.
- Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field.
- A member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario.
- Completes yearly CNO Quality Assurance certification.
- Provision of a recent and acceptable Criminal Reference Check.
- Phlebotomy and Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) are an asset.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification is required.
