The Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team as a Registered Nurse - Harm Reduction Program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with opiate dependency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities for patients with opiate dependency
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans
- Dispense and administer medications as delegated by a licensed physician
- Perform ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening supervision, and testing
- Administer injections and ensure proper documentation
- Communicate with physicians regarding patient needs and medical abnormalities
- Provide comprehensive program information to patients and prospective patients
- Schedule appointments, enter information, and manage data
- Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health
- Ability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients
- Knowledge of Harm Reduction principles
