About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Husky Ponoka. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as managing kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Determine the size of food portions and costs, plan menus and estimate food requirements, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession in a rural area.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
