Job Summary

The Hitchin Post Bar & Grill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates
    • Prepare and submit reports
    • Establish work schedules
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills
    • Excellent oral communication skills
