Position Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the design of sustainable I&IT solutions that yield tangible business outcomes. As part of the Integrated Corporate I&IT Solutions and Integration Management Branch, you will leverage your technical design and leadership skills across a variety of complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Solutions Designer, your duties will include:

  1. Establishing technical direction and strategies for comprehensive solution and infrastructure design, influencing target architectures.
  2. Collaborating with business and IT stakeholders on various business improvement projects.
  3. Conducting analysis, design, development, and coordination of specific business and infrastructure solutions.
  4. Delivering both Logical and Physical design documentation, including project planning and execution.
  5. Evaluating and recommending technologies and best practices for infrastructure solutions.
  6. Engaging in the procurement process for solutions and identifying necessary resources for implementation.

Focus Areas: This position emphasizes Information Management to support Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Data Science, including data management, database development, and related technologies.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  1. Experience with business systems lifecycle and process modeling, including requirements analysis and design techniques.
  2. Proficiency in cloud concepts relevant to data warehousing.
  3. Knowledge of data lakehouse and data warehouse design, dimensional modeling, and data quality assurance.
  4. Extensive experience in building analytics solutions using cloud technologies.
  5. Familiarity with developing near real-time event streaming pipelines.
  6. Proficient in programming languages such as Python and Scala, with strong SQL skills.
  7. Ability to apply Business Intelligence methodologies for metadata modeling.
  8. Experience in data management best practices.
  9. Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps and container technologies.

  3. Effective teamwork and relationship-building capabilities.
  4. Proven decision-making skills.
  5. Experience in agile project delivery.

  2. Capacity to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  3. Skills in prioritizing and managing competing deadlines.
  4. Experience in overseeing the implementation of business solutions.

Communication and Relationship Management:

  1. Consulting and advisory skills for solution recommendations.
  2. Relationship management skills to foster collaboration.
  3. Presentation skills for conveying technical information.
  4. Writing and editing skills for documentation and reports.
