Position Overview
The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) is seeking a Senior IT Developer to join our INTRADAY Liquidity Technology team. This role involves developing a comprehensive intraday liquidity platform that will be utilized by both funding operations and the treasury department. The application will enable the measurement of anticipated daily liquidity inflows and outflows, forecast potential funding shortfalls, and monitor liquidity positions against expected activities and available resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform business requirements into effective delivery solutions that meet performance objectives.
- Design and implement front-end web applications using Angular.
- Develop and maintain Restful APIs.
- Conduct systems administration tasks including monitoring, configuration, and backup.
- Ensure high-quality coding practices, engage in peer code reviews, and support testing cycles.
- Identify and resolve issues, developing processes to address them while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Collaborate with technology partners to configure and develop custom components that meet project goals.
- Adhere to security best practices to ensure applications are free from common vulnerabilities.
- Perform unit and integration testing according to design specifications.
- Follow TD's technology delivery standards and project management practices.
- Contribute technical expertise during incident management, analyzing reports and outages.
- Demonstrate proactive ownership of tasks and effective communication within the team.
- Develop a strong understanding of intraday liquidity management within the banking sector.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
- 7+ years of experience with Angular and client-side web frameworks.
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with ag-Grid, Git, Jira, and Confluence is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of the technical environment, programming languages, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to tackle complex development challenges independently.
- Strong coaching and advisory skills for clients and project teams.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results.
