Position Overview

The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) is seeking a Senior IT Developer to join our dynamic INTRADAY Liquidity Technology team. This role is pivotal in constructing a comprehensive intraday liquidity platform that will be utilized by both funding operations and the treasury department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform business needs and research into effective delivery solutions that align with performance objectives.
  • Design and develop user-friendly web applications utilizing Angular.
  • Create and implement Restful APIs to enhance system functionality.
  • Oversee systems administration tasks including monitoring, configuration, backup, and performance tuning.
  • Strive for excellence in programming by producing high-quality, defect-free code and engaging in peer code reviews.
  • Identify and resolve issues, developing processes to mitigate future occurrences while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to configure and develop custom components that meet project requirements.
  • Ensure applications adhere to security best practices and are free from common vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing in accordance with established standards and specifications.
  • Uphold TD's technology delivery practices and project management standards.
  • Apply technical expertise during incident management, analyzing reports and outages to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external partners to achieve project goals and foster strong relationships.
  • Develop a solid understanding of intraday liquidity management within the banking sector.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • An undergraduate degree or technical certification.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Angular development.
  • Extensive experience with client-side web frameworks.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ag-Grid and tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • A deep understanding of the technical environment, programming languages, and operating systems.
  • A solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex development challenges independently.
  • Experience in coaching and advising clients and project teams.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work.
