About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Analytics Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. - D46. As a key member of our Data and AI Solutions team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge analytics solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Thought Leadership**: Develop and share best practices in analytics and data science through various channels, including AWS blogs, whitepapers, and public speaking events.
  2. Customer Engagement**: Collaborate with sales, business development, and data science teams to accelerate customer adoption and provide guidance on customer engagements.
  3. Technical Liaison**: Act as a liaison between customers and the AWS Analytics services teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
  4. Community Development**: Develop and support an internal community of analytics-related subject matter experts worldwide, creating field enablement materials to help Solution Architects integrate Amazon Web Services Data solutions into customer architectures.
  5. Customer Advisor**: Build prototypes, PoCs, and explore new solutions, interacting closely with customers and the academic community.

Requirements
  1. 7+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  2. 5+ years of management experience in technical, customer-facing resources.
  3. 5+ years of analytics experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
  2. Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  3. Experience managing data and ETL pipelines.
  4. Experience as a leader and mentor on a data analytics team.
  5. Active in the open-source community, such as Apache Spark.
  6. Large distributed big data processing and data warehouse experience.
