About the Role

BC Hydro is seeking a Co-op Student to join our IT Enterprise Architecture team. As a Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in various IT enterprise architecture domains, including business, infrastructure, IT/OT cybersecurity, and data analytics.

You will work closely with the EA team to provide administrative and coordination support, including governance meetings planning and minutes taking. You will also have the opportunity to experience what the EA team does and is responsible for from enterprise strategy, roadmap, and governance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for the EA team
  • Gain knowledge and experience with various IT enterprise architecture domains
  • Assist with creating and updating strategy presentation materials
  • Tasks will be assigned based on the needs of the department and strengths of the student
Requirements
  • Enrolled in the Co-op Program and have yet to graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada
  • 3rd or 4th year students studying computer science; previous work experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both English written and oral) skills and the ability to work efficiently, independently, and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with good judgement and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience using Microsoft M365 tools (eg, Outlook, Onenote, Teams, Word, Sharepoint)
  • Experience with task management tools like JIRA would be an asset
  • Proficient and experienced in producing professional presentation materials using MS Powerpoint, Excel, Visio etc
