UI Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Software Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a UI Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative features and enhancements for our existing software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and propose technical solutions for UI components and features.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance impact of changes and address any arising issues to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of C++ software development experience and proficiency in adapting to different coding styles.
  • Architecture Experience: Experience with Entity-Component-System architecture and previous experience shipping UI code for AAA titles.
  • Soft Skills: Proven ability to overcome challenges creatively and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UI Design Experience: Experience with UI design and familiarity with scripting languages.
  • Education: Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
