Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Software Engineer to join our Advanced Technology Group, part of the EA SPORTS Tech organization. As a UI Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge game features and engine enhancements that drive innovation and excellence in our games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development
    • Design new features or new additions to existing features, collaborating with designers to gather requirements and propose tech solutions.
    • Develop and implement UI components, screens, and game flows, ensuring high-quality and performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and engineers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of UI features.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of UI requirements and technical solutions.
  • Performance and Stability
    • Monitor performance and stability impact from UI changes and address any issues that may arise.
    • Optimize UI code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of C++ software development experience.
  • Experience adapting to existing multiple coding styles.
  • Experience with Entity-Component-System architecture.
  • Experience shipping UI code for AAA titles.
  • Experience embracing challenges and finding creative ways to overcome them.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building user interface components and systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
