About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Software Engineer - UI/UX Specialist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality user interface and user experience (UI/UX) features for our games.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, producers, and artists, to develop and implement UI/UX features that meet our high standards.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to our coding standards and best practices.
  • Design and develop UI/UX prototypes and refine existing ones to ensure they meet our quality and performance expectations.
  • Develop production-level UI/UX subsystems that are scalable, maintainable, and meet our quality standards.
  • Write software requirements and technical specifications that accurately capture the requirements for UI/UX features.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and contribute to the planning and execution of UI/UX projects.
  • Implement production-level game UI/UX subsystems that meet our quality and performance expectations.
  • Optimize code to ensure it meets our performance and efficiency standards.
  • Document designed and implemented components to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in UI/UX and software engineering to continuously improve our skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of programming experience with a strong focus on UI/UX development.
  • Proficiency in C++ and experience with game development frameworks such as Unreal Engine.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles and UI/UX best practices.
  • Experience with desktop (PC/Mac) development and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to design and develop consumer-oriented UI systems that meet our quality and performance expectations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with multiple UI frameworks and technologies.
