Job Summary

Michaels is seeking a Part Time Seasonal Service Team Member to join our team. As a Service Team Member, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in making purchases, finding products, and finding solutions.
  • Provide a quick and courteous checkout experience and handle cash transactions according to company standards.
  • Inform customers about the rewards program and assist with sign-ups.
  • Notify customers about the Voice of the Customer (VDC) survey.
  • Assist with omnichannel processes, including AEL/REM (buy online, pick up in store) and EXP/M (ship from store) orders.
  • Participate in truck unloading, display restocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
  • Responsible for merchandise receiving, stocking, and maintenance, including returns, restocking shelves, and general store organization to ensure a well-presented and stocked store.
  • Perform stock optimization in-store (OSEM) and sales floor setup tasks as assigned.
  • Support loss prevention and safety programs.
  • Follow company operational procedures (OPs) and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, implement company policies and standards.
  • Interact with others in an acceptable and respectful manner, remain positive and respectful even in difficult situations, promote commitment to the company's vision and values, project a positive image and serve as a role model for others.

  • Preferred experience in retail sales or customer service.

Physical and Environmental Demands (CD, Artistree, Stores)

  • Frequent bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

  • Public retail store environment to care for customers; all public areas are air-conditioned; some warehouses may not be air-conditioned; you may be assigned outdoor work (collecting shopping baskets or during truck unloading); the training room contains a glass cutter and a heat press; working hours include evenings, weekends, and early mornings.
