Your Mission

Under the guidance of our Director of Legal Affairs, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our management and internal teams on various matters related to commercial and contractual law, compliance, and dispute prevention. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of our projects and the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and commercial documents related to construction projects.
  • Develop and update contract models and tools to facilitate contract management and understanding.
  • Advise on legal requirements and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide proactive and practical legal advice on dispute resolution and claims management.
  • Manage litigation and structuring projects for the organization.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws and membership in a Canadian bar association (US bar association membership is an asset).
  • At least 7 years of experience in construction and/or business law, with expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral, and strong communication and popularization skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in the renewable energy, engineering, and/or construction industry.
