About the Role

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on a wide range of matters, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and compliance. You will work closely with our management team to ensure that all legal aspects of our business are properly managed and that we maintain a strong reputation in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex contracts and commercial documents related to construction projects.
  • Develop and implement effective contract management systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on business operations, risk management, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with external lawyers to manage litigation and ensure the company's interests are protected.
  • Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures to ensure a culture of compliance and excellence.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Laws degree and membership in a Canadian bar association.
  • At least 4 years of experience in construction and/or business law, with a strong background in contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for the renewable energy industry and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
