Painter and Decorator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team at Singh Concrete And Renovations Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all painting and decorating work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring they are free from dust, dirt and other contaminants.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces remain in good condition.
- Painting and Decorating: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques and tools.
- Wallpaper and Fabric Application: Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Customer Service: Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, and provide guidance on how to care for and maintain their new finishes.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, and that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime required to meet project deadlines.
