About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team at Singh Concrete And Renovations Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all painting and decorating work is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Finish Surfaces
    • Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes.
    • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Wall Covering Expertise
    • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
    • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment by following all health and safety protocols.
    • Conduct regular safety checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in painting and decorating.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labour.
    • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Reliability and ability to work independently.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The work environment is varied, with opportunities to work on different projects and with different clients.
