Senior Change Management Consultant

  • Compensation range: C$640 - $650/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with organizations to provide specialized knowledge, advisory support, and coaching aimed at enhancing understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Assist leaders and teams in improving their ability to comprehend the effects of change on individuals, the reasons behind resistance to change, and strategies to support individuals during transitions.
  • Act as a proactive and visible mentor to empower leaders, partners, and stakeholders in their roles as advocates for change.
  • Engage and work closely with essential roles such as project managers, business analysts, process improvement experts, change consultants, and leadership to weave change practices throughout the organization.
  • Formulate and execute change management strategies, plans, and frameworks.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of communication strategies, sponsor roadmaps, stakeholder assessments, training plans, and resistance management throughout project lifecycles.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts, including the identification and analysis of key stakeholders and the development of engagement strategies.
  • Align change management initiatives with stakeholders to eliminate barriers, facilitate adoption, and contribute to problem-solving for successful implementation.
  • Ensure active involvement and consultation of clients/partners and stakeholders throughout the change process.
  • Communicate the rationale for change in a manner that resonates with affected stakeholders and presents a compelling vision of the new organization.
  • Foster consensus among clients/partners and stakeholders regarding specific changes aimed at better meeting their needs.
  • Identify potential risks associated with the people side of change and develop strategies to mitigate or address these concerns.
  • Conduct change readiness assessments, analyze results, and present findings to stakeholders to inform the change management strategy.
  • Implement measurement systems to monitor the adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes.
  • Develop strategies to institutionalize change, ensuring sustained benefits through knowledge transfer, performance management, continuous improvement, and related practices.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of change management industry standards, best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in crafting training, communication, and change management strategies and plans.
  • Ability to effectively engage with a diverse array of stakeholders, including senior management and leaders.
  • Strong conflict resolution, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with project management fundamentals and an understanding of project lifecycles.
  • Exceptional active listening abilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient presentation and group facilitation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in assessing change impacts on business processes and technology solutions to drive adoption.
  • Proven track record in leading medium to large-scale transformational change initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with project leads to implement structured change management methodologies for people-side changes across initiatives.
  • Ability to understand program/project dynamics and related change management challenges by identifying key stakeholders and their impacts.
  • Experience in developing actionable change management plans that encompass communications, coaching, training, sponsorship, and resistance management activities.
  • Experience in defining and measuring success metrics while monitoring change progress.
  • Experience managing the change management process and applying best practices to support projects or initiatives.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with other subject matter experts, including communication specialists, training experts, and human resource consultants during implementation.
  • Capability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels towards common objectives.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Change Management.
  • Experience in relationship management.
  • Strong communication and consultation skills.
