Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology is currently looking for an Administrative Support Specialist at our Training and Career Advancement Centre.

Reporting to the Manager of Employment Services & Academic Upgrading, the successful applicant will undertake a variety of receptionist responsibilities, which include handling telephone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general clerical tasks such as managing incoming and outgoing mail;
  • Oversee petty cash and address office equipment requirements;
  • Direct clients and students to the appropriate resources;
  • Facilitate ancillary services including reserving meeting rooms, organizing special events, and scheduling appointments with clients and students.

Qualifications:

  • A one (1) year certificate in Office Administration, Business, or a related field;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant clerical experience, ideally within an educational or governmental context with diverse responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities, as well as the capacity to prioritize and organize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Experience in financial management is advantageous.
