Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at Ontario Aboriginal Housing Support Services. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and clients, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff and clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computer software and hardware
  • Assist with training and orientation for new staff members
  • Participate in research and development of new technologies and systems to improve our services
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for IT-related tasks
  • Assist with inventory management and tracking of IT assets
Requirements
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, networking systems, and Android OS
  • Certifications and licenses in relevant areas (e.g. CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

  • Ability to work varying hours/days, if required
  • Valid CPIC clearance (Criminal Records check); Vulnerable reference Check may be required
  • Current, valid Ontario Driver's License and safe driving record
