Position: Senior Coordinator for Wellness Initiatives – 2 positions available
Contract Duration: 2 Year Term
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (core hours from 9am to 3pm)
Location: Vancouver Island, covering various regions.

Role Overview
In the capacity of Senior Coordinator for Wellness Initiatives, your responsibilities will include providing high-level coordination support for the planning and execution of various Primary Care and Health and Wellness events, engagements, and workshops in partnership with First Nations, FNHA departments, and health system collaborators. You will oversee initiatives, resources, and tools that align with the BC First Nations Perspective on Primary Care and Health and Wellness, which includes addressing leadership challenges, organizing wellness events throughout the region, and disseminating health and wellness narratives and innovations.

Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A diploma with coursework in First Nations studies, complemented by 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with regional health authority systems and services, particularly in collaboration with First Nations individuals, communities, or organizations on health and wellness issues.
  • Recent experience at a coordinator level, focusing on planning, budgeting, and implementing activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SharePoint and OneNote is advantageous.
