Job Summary

The City of Toronto is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide support to our management team and contribute to the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including preparing reports, updating project plans, and processing documents.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and correspondence.
  • Assist with budget administration and financial transactions, including petty cash management and bank deposits.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and schedules, and take minutes as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including senior staff, the public, and other levels of government.
  • Utilize various software packages, including Microsoft Office and SAP, to perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience performing clerical and administrative duties, including purchasing and budget administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, senior management, and the public.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team and independently, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to apply general statistical techniques and practices, making involved calculations accurately.
