About the Opportunity

The Healthcare Social Worker plays a vital role in providing psychosocial assessments, adjustment therapy, and supportive therapy to clients and their families. This position requires a strong understanding of human behavior, systems theory, and family dynamics. The successful candidate will be actively involved in advocacy, education, and program planning, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

The Social Worker will provide a diverse range of interventions, including crisis counseling, resource counseling, and discharge planning. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker who possesses a Master's Degree in Social Work from a recognized university. The ideal candidate will be registered or eligible for registration with the NSCSW and have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Social Worker. Knowledge of local community resources and agencies is an asset, as is competency in other languages, particularly French.

Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications. Consideration may be given to those with a Master's of Social Work education and less than two years of experience in a developmental capacity within a different pay scale.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
