About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at 86280 Newfoundland & Labrador Corp. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are washed and sanitized, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure they are properly sanitized
  • Place dishes in storage areas and replenish condiments and supplies as needed
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, appliances, and work surfaces
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Reliability, teamwork, and initiative
