About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at 86280 Newfoundland & Labrador Corp. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and stored, and assisting with food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Dishwashing and Storage: Wash and dry dishes, glassware, and flatware, and store them in designated areas.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs.
  • Supply Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies as needed.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and recyclables, and ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, and initiative.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be working in a team environment, assisting with food preparation and service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
