About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at 86280 Newfoundland & Labrador Corp. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and stored, and assisting with food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Dishwashing and Storage: Wash, dry, and store dishes, glassware, and flatware in a clean and organized manner.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Supply Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that recycling is properly sorted and stored.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
