Job Title: Development Lead

Are you a seasoned IT professional looking for a challenging role that leverages your technical expertise and leadership skills? We are seeking a Development Lead to join our team at the Government of Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of system analysts dedicated to supporting applications.
  • Design, construct, test, and implement new information systems that support client requirements and departmental objectives.
  • Build effective relationships with applications clients to solicit and trust the team's advice on the use of technology.
  • Plan, support, test, and document upgrades to COTS and vendor products to maintain continued application stability.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with other technical teams to deliver application services.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and 6 years related experience.
  • Experience providing leadership and direction to a team of system analysts dedicated to supporting applications.
  • Experience with providing guidance in application design, construction, implementation, and change management procedures.
  • Expertise in server setup, configuration, and patching of COTS products.
