About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Devereaux Property Management Services Ltd. as a key member of our financial operations department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Accounting Systems Administration: Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems, ensuring accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.
  • Supervision and Team Management: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, supervising a team of 5-10 people.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Prepare payroll, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, and administer benefits, including dental and health care plans.
  • Transportation and Travel: Ensure public transportation is available for employees.
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, requiring attention to detail and physical capabilities.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
