Accounting Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Devereaux Property Management Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, and providing technical advice to team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transactions: Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Technical Advice: Provide guidance and support to team members on accounting procedures and policies.
  • Productivity and Quality: Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, and ensure that financial transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
