The Strategic Project Leader is an essential role that contributes to shaping the future trajectory of Aylo. As a vital member of the strategic team, this individual will engage in defining the company's growth strategies and enhancing operational effectiveness. The role involves close collaboration with executive leadership, business unit heads, and their teams to facilitate and execute strategic initiatives and operational choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a diverse range of projects from inception to completion across product and engineering sectors, emphasizing milestones, deliverables, budgets, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Take ownership of project outcomes and manage the entire project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the creation and review of business requirement documents to initiate projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive statements of work, work breakdown structures, and project plans.
  • Manage project scope and objectives, balancing agility with change management practices.
  • Monitor and control project budgets effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC standards and apply industry-standard project management methodologies in software engineering initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and address project challenges and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with other functional teams and project managers.
  • Encourage transparency and neutrality in project operations.
  • Provide regular status updates and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Communicate any deviations, obstacles, escalations, risks, and concerns to the PMO, ensuring corrective plans are established to realign projects.
  • Actively participate in the PMO community.
  • Share insights, promote best practices, and mentor others on lessons learned.

Qualifications for Success:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within an IT context.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • PMP certification, PMI ACP certification, CSM, and/or CST, or equivalent credentials.
  • Strong grasp of technology trends, product development processes, and project lifecycles.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive experience with MS Project or similar planning tools.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is advantageous.
