Strategic Project Leader

The Strategic Project Leader plays a pivotal role in guiding the future trajectory of Aylo. As an integral member of the strategic team, this individual will focus on the company’s growth strategy and enhancing operational effectiveness. Collaboration with CXOs, Business Unit leaders, and their teams will be essential to facilitate and execute strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a diverse range of projects from inception to completion across product and engineering sectors, emphasizing milestones, deliverables, budgets, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
- Take ownership of project outcomes and manage the entire project lifecycle.
- Assist in the development of business requirement documents for project initiation.
- Complete the statement of work, work breakdown structure, and project planning documentation.
- Manage project scope and objectives, applying a blend of agility and change management techniques.
- Monitor and control project budgets effectively.
- Support the implementation of SDLC standards and industry-recognized project management methodologies in software engineering projects.
- Proactively identify and address project challenges and recommend solutions.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with other functional teams and project managers.
- Encourage transparency and neutrality in project operations.
- Provide comprehensive status reports and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Communicate deviations, impediments, escalations, risks, and concerns to the PMO, ensuring corrective plans are established to realign projects.
- Actively participate in the PMO community.
- Share insights, promote best practices, and mentor others on lessons learned.
Qualifications for Success:
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management within an IT project environment.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- PMP certification, PMI ACP certification, CSM, and/or CST, or equivalent credentials.
- Strong grasp of technology trends, product development methodologies, and project lifecycles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information and make strategic decisions.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive experience with MS Project or similar planning tools.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is advantageous.
