Work Environment
  1. Calculate labor and material cost estimates
  2. Utilize CADD and various software applications
  3. Develop estimates for general expenses and overhead costs
  4. Track and modify contract expenditures as necessary
  5. Collaborate and communicate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimate modifications
  6. Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications accurately
Required Certifications and Skills
  1. Completion of a CADD Course
  2. Proficiency in computer and technology applications
  3. Familiarity with AutoCAD
  4. Proficient in MS Excel
  5. Proficient in MS Word
Experience Required
  1. Experience in Civil Engineering
  2. Background in Architecture
  3. Experience in Commercial and/or Industrial Construction
  4. Experience in Residential Construction
  5. Estimating for projects valued between $500,001 and $1,500,000
Safety and Security Requirements
  1. Must be bondable
  2. Criminal record check required
  3. Driving record check (abstract) required
Transportation and Travel Requirements
  1. Must have personal transportation
  2. Must possess a valid driver's license
Work Conditions and Physical Demands
