Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Service Assurance, the selected candidates will serve as technical experts contributing to the maintenance and support of various server, network, and application monitoring tools within a managed services framework for client networks, security, VoIP, and server environments.
Work Schedule
Onsite presence is required three times a week, with a commitment of 7.5 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analyses and demonstrate resourcefulness in problem-solving.
- Utilize existing documentation to find solutions and document new findings.
- Possess a solid understanding of operating systems, including Linux/Unix and Windows.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Linux scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with various monitoring applications and ticketing systems is essential.
- Understand networking principles, particularly TCP/IP.
- Bring experience across multiple business sectors and services, considering interdepartmental dependencies in project execution.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to business analysts at all levels.
- Act as a bridge between the IT development team and business units for system support and enhancements.
- Assess new applications and determine system requirements.
- Review emerging IT developments and evolving business needs, suggesting suitable system alternatives or enhancements.
- Prepare communications and deliver presentations regarding system improvements or alternatives.
- Work under the guidance of an IT Manager.
- Language proficiency in both French and English is required.
- Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week, with onsite work up to three days a week.
- Contract type: Temporary Contractor.
- Hourly contract rate will be determined based on experience.
- Contract duration is 12 months, with potential for extension.
