About the Opportunity
Foremost is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This full-time position involves production welding, service and repair welding, prototype building, tank and fitter welding. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Lead Hands, Charge Hands and Foremen to drive continuous improvements using FMAW, GMAW, FCAW and semi-automatic welding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently to complete complex welding tasks and projects.
- Lay out and fit major or minor fabrication assemblies for vehicles, rigs, and parts.
- Operate various weld shop equipment as required.
- Maintain a set of tools to perform welding functions.
- Assist less experienced personnel with work methods, work habits, and performance.
- Perform other tasks related to the Welder classification.
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified licensed tradesman in the Province of Alberta.
- CWB tickets are an asset.
- Must have fitting experience.
- Maintain a set of tools to perform welding functions.
- Safety training is an asset, but will be provided as required.
