**Job Summary:**

We are looking for experienced Journeyman Welders to join our team. As a Journeyman Welder, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and removing welds using the Air Arc Gouging process.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
  • Remove welds using the Air Arc Gouging process.
  • Accurately complete time sheets, weight sheets, hazard analysis sheets, and other required documentation.

**Requirements:**

  • 3 years + of work experience in welding.
  • Interprovincial Trade Certification.
  • Specialization in structural construction welding is considered an asset.
  • Ensure all required Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) qualifications are current.
  • Solid understanding of welding equipment and accessories.
  • Knowledge of pre-heat and post-heat temperatures and applications.
  • Operate manual flame-cutting equipment.
  • Adjust welding equipment and tooling according to work specifications.
  • Mentor and train apprentices.
