Job Opportunity – Marketing Coordinator

The Deerhurst Resort is seeking a highly creative and driven Marketing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design marketing assets, including content for social media, advertising, and website.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create cohesive and relevant marketing content for paid and organic social media campaigns.
  • Produce high-quality photos and video assets for social media, advertising, and corporate use.
  • Maintain and optimize the Deerhurst Resort website, ensuring effective SEO and engaging content that drives consumers to book.
  • Support resort-wide communications and team needs with the development of signage, menus, and guest collateral.
  • Monitor and maintain the Deerhurst Resort's online presence on review platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain the Deerhurst Resort's Guest App, updating content and ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist in CRM eblasts and blog post coordination, including copywriting and deployment.
  • Attend special events or activities as required to conduct on-the-ground social media, photography, and video coverage.

Skills, Abilities & Attributes

  • Passion for storytelling and building brands through compelling content.
  • People-oriented with a sincere, energetic, and friendly personality.
  • Regular use and expertise in social media applications, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Graphic design abilities and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Video production abilities in preferred video editing software.
  • Photography and videography skills via social media tools as well as use of professional camera.
  • Microsoft Office literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule to allow for coverage and support of special events and media visits.
  • Knowledge and experience with website CMS such as WordPress an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be adaptive in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • College diploma or university degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, video production, or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in a marketing, graphic design, production, hospitality, or related field preferred.

Working Conditions

Schedule must remain flexible to cover special events as required. Tuesday – Saturday work schedule during the busy season.
