About the Role

As a Composite Tooling Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all tooling used in our production processes is consistently ready for use. This includes masters, molds, jigs, fixtures, templates, and any other production aids essential to our operations. Your expertise will contribute directly to the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain the surfaces of layup tools through meticulous sanding and sealing procedures.
  • Proactively replace Tool Tec components as needed, ensuring optimal tool functionality.
  • Adhere to preventative maintenance (PM) work orders and production requirements for all tooling upkeep.
  • Keep our PM program up-to-date by inputting new tooling information and schedules.
  • Actively participate in tooling design reviews for projects outsourced to external partners.
  • Contribute your expertise to the introduction of new products, ensuring that manufacturing needs are met throughout the process.

Your Background

We seek a highly skilled individual with a proven track record in technical fields within the aerospace or automotive industries. Your hands-on experience should encompass composite assembly, bonding, core cutting, autoclaves, curing ovens, thermal presses, and more. A strong understanding of composite layup, vacuum bagging processes, part surface preparation, and painting is essential.

Your skillset should also include proficiency in metal and wood working, pattern making, and 5S principles.
